What is affordable to one may not fit my model of affordable. I have yet to see where anyone has spelled out the costs of affordable health insurance in real dollars and cents. So what exactly is affordable. $ 0-$ 300 per month $ 300-$ 600 or $ 600-$ 1000. I know where my number is. Whats yours?

Well, we easily spend more than twice as much per capita as the next most expensive country, but we don’t get twice as good care.
Do you know the number, really? My company pays for most of mine, but when I added my wife, that was another 200 bucks a month because they only pay 50% of hers.
In fact, 47 million people have no insurance and do not go in for things like check ups.
With that being said, more than 40% is pure administrative overhead and does not go to doctors, to buy medicine or pay for treatment.
So … the bar is pretty low, all we need to do is get the administrative costs down to improve things, and then we will still be paying more for less.

The insurance company’s study also found that the average property damage cost of a collision with a deer was $3,103, up 1.7 percent from a year ago.
