What is the Constitutional basis for Obama forcing people to buy health care policies they don’t want?
Question by Rick: What is the Constitutional basis for Obama forcing people to buy health care policies they don’t want?
People say “well, the government forces you to have car insurance” but that’s not true… you are only forced to buy it if you want to drive. Many people ride bikes, take the bus, or walk. So what’s the Constitutional basis for forcing every citizen to buy a product?

Why should men care if women get paid LESS, if they don’t give a DAMN about unreasonable car insurance for men?
Question by AllorNothing AKA The Black MikeT: Why should men care if women get paid LESS, if they don’t give a DAMN about unreasonable car insurance for men?
The whole argument with women when asked about how they feel about male car insurance:
“too bad”
“that’s just how it is, deal with it”
“men are irresponsible”
“who cares not my problem”
“statistics say most men can’t drive as safely as women”
So why should I care if women are getting paid less for the SAME job a man is doing since:
Women are usually less productive than men
Women want to be flirtatious in the workplace
Women are always suing for sexual harassment
Women have to call off to have kids or take care of kids.
And I could just use all of the above:
“too bad”
“that’s just how it is, deal with it”
“women are irresponsible”
“who cares not my problem”
“statistics say most women can’t work as efficiently as men”
Since the insurance companies “feel” men are irresponsible based on statistics.
Then men who have seen women consistently under perform ,compared to men, should just pay women less for the SAME amount of work.
BTW the “women pay more for health insurance” argument is old and tired. The Male vs. Female health insurance gap is no where near as big as the male vs. female car insurance gap.
@ I Enjoy: I’m glad you don’t care about my “whining”
Because I don’t care about you’re problems associated with you being a woman: pms, sexual harassment cat calls. I’m a man so It’s not my problem right?
Tristan: Ok sounds reasonable.

Good point. I’m still an advocate of womens’ rights though since not all women feel that way.

Were just a few months from having our first baby but my parents tell me ‘Don’t both with Life Insurance” Help?
Question by Sophia’s Mommy: Were just a few months from having our first baby but my parents tell me ‘Don’t both with Life Insurance” Help?
My parents are in there 60s and have life insurance.
I am 22 and my husband is 24. I work only part time and come October, I will be a full time stay at home mom with our daughter.
I brought up life insurance with my parents and they said “At this moment you don’t really need it nor can you really afford it.”
My husband and I never talked about life insurance till we got pregnant with our daughter. I just assumed that God for Bid if he was to die, we would sell the house, I would go back to work and or live with my parents till I get back on my feet.
But now that I am having a daughter, I am like “Now what”. Of course no one plans on dying at 24, but tragic things happen. I hate thinking about losing my husband but I know that death is a part of time.
Any advice on this issue.
My husband makes around 55K a year.
Were both Non Smokers and Non Drinkers and are healthy people within normal weight limits etc.
