The State of California is about to foul up my Medi-Cal health insurance.I am pretty well fed up w/people behind computers that are rude and not willing to listen, but are more than willing to “have someone call you tomorrow”. Since May of 2011 Dept. of Health Care Services have been trying to put me in a managed care program. This is for residents of Riverside County. I am not a resident of Riverside County. I live in Salton City, Imperial County. I get services through the Imperial County Department of Health and Human Services. Our mail comes through the nearest Post Office, which is in Thermal CA, Riverside County. The zip code for this post office is 92274. There is a “postal annex” here in Salton City w/post office boxes. The zip code for this “postal annex” is 92275.That is the first and only way we were able to get our mail before rural delivery began for a certain portion of Salton City. My various and numerous problems w/this postal annex are a totally different story and one for another day. Its a bitch living in the middle of nowhere. When I put in my Salton City address into the website for the US Postal Service to find my zip + 4 I get 92274-6583. I get mail delivered to a mailbox on Salton Drive, which is as close as the letter carrier is allowed to veer off his delivery route. So I walk a quarter-mile to and from my mailbox to get my mail.
