What LIFE insurance companies have had a bad record in denying legitimate claims?

I am deciding which company to go with for my life insurance purchase. Wanted to make sure my spouse and child wouldn’t be mistreated by the company should anything happened to me.

Insurance companies are whores if you died of cancer they would find a way for it to look like suicide.
Insurance companies have no problem paying death claims. That’s the business they’re in. The only time they’re not paid is if there’s something shady going on—someone lied about something on their application/foul play.
There is a misconception out there by people like the first responder that insurance companies will try to screw everyone. It’s not true, they just screw a few people.
In regards to your question, go to ambest.com , weissratings.com and other sites to see a company’s financial strength. In today’s environment, it would be A+ rated companies that I’d look to.
You check with AM Best, Moody or Weiss Rating, I wouldn’t take a policy with anyone but an A company. I ha vent seen many deny claims but take forever to settle is another story. The rating is used to show financial solvency. The more solvent the more money they have in there coffers to pay out. Hope that helps
